Mountain Lions, NoCo and Soul Food

Ivan Wayne, host of the delightful podcast The More You NoCo, joins us!  We recommend:  Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson, Under a Dark Sky by Lori Rader-Day, Cast Under an Alien Sun by Olen Thorensen and Halfway to Heaven: My White-Kunckled–and Knuckleheaded–Quest for the Rocky Mountain High by Mark Obmascik.  Audiobook of the week is Hard Revolution by George Pelecanos read by the talented and buff Lance Reddick.

In “Library Corner” Amy recommends books by Denver authors in honor of Black History Month. She recommends:  Adrian Miller‘s Soul Food:  The Surprising Story of an American Cuisine One Plate at a Time and The President’s Kitchen Cabinet.  Carlotta Walls Lanier’s A Mighty Long Way.  Also the romance novelist JD Mason, author of One Day I Saw a Black King.
