Our heroes, Dave, Andrew and Laura, talk about books that they had great expectations for and that failed miserably.  At the mention of Great Expectations, Charles Dickens uses that as an excuse to call in and we also dive deep into a small town in Mississsippi because of Dave’s book, Desperation Road.

Books reviewed in this episode are:  The Dime by Kathleen Kent, Old Man’s War by John Scalzi, Desperation Road by Michael Farris Smith   Audiobook of the week is the big and bold Redemption Road by John Hart read by Scott Shepherd.

Other books mentioned this week are:  The Bird Box by Josh Malerman.  And yes, it’s better than the movie.
