In episode 4 our heroes, Dave, Andrew and Laura, take a call from Charles Dickens who was upset at their critique of his Tale of Two Cities. Andrew announces a plan to mail a book to any listener that needs a book recommendation. Dave tells a story about two drunk guys and a drone in his backyard at dusk and, yet again, all three of them are annoyed by other people.
Books reviewed in this episode are: A Rising Man by Abir Mukherjee, She Rides Shotgun by Jordan Harper, The Ugly American by Eugene Burdick and William Lederer. Audiobook of the week is a full cast production of Neil Gaiman’s charming The Graveyard Book.

Other books mentioned this week were Good to Great by Jim Collins, The Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe and T.H. White’s The Once and Future King.

Looking for advise in finding new books/authors, other than your delightful podcast of course. What are each your favorite ways to pick a winner, especially in this age of ebooks and audiobooks. I don’t have time to walk the stacks in my library looking at book covers to pull me in. Thanks! Cindy
